The depth of the hood is adjustable to suit focal lengths between 35mm and 200mm. Hoya say the hood can be used with a 28mm but we would recommend you make a test before shooting anything important with the hood attached. On a 28mm lens vignetting may be visible depending on your lens and which aperture you use.
